macbeth is responsible for his own fall.
In William Shakespeare play Macbeth the main character Macbeth the war hero ends up with a very tragic ending due to his own stupid choices and influences by his wife lady macbeth and the witches. In the beginning macbeth was a very loyal and noble man who would not be known to do something so awful as to kill his king and friend. In some ways macbeth only can be blamed for his downfall as he was the one who physically murdered the king and Duncan. But I believe all three can be blamed for Macbeths fall and the murders as they all took part in the things that lead to the macbeths tragic ending.
The witches knew macbeths weaknesses this gave them the power so they could lure him as he had confidence in them “as, by the strength of their illusion, shall draw him on to his confusion: he shall spurn fate, scorn death, and bear. His hopes 'bove wisdom, grace, and fear: and you all know security is mortals chiefest enemy.” this quote is a clear indication that the witches were taking advantage of macbeth. When they foretold macbeth that his desire would persist him to kill the king so that he could take the position, he then became ambitious in wanting there predictions of him taking the position as king and this led him to take action and murder the king and Duncan in order for him to take the throne.
Lady macbeth is a very manipulative woman and can also be held responsible for the death of the king and Duncan as she was the one who influenced macbeth to do the crime. She was the one who wanted macbeth to 'become a man' in killing them so she could become royalty. She also insisted in making him look loyal on the surfaces although he was no longer loyal at all “look like the time;bear welcome in your eye, your hand, your tongue;look like the innocent flower, but be the serpent under it.” this quote by lady macbeth in conversation with macbeth is her telling him to look innocent but inside be deceiving...
