Anyone who works in a team knows that it can be a challenge at times. It could be difficult working in a team. It could be a variety of reasons ranging from different opinions to a misunderstanding or poor communication skills. Exactly the same issues can arise when working in partnership that might take place in a children’s centre, a school, a community centre, a health centre. Different centres communicating or working together for specific cases or situations. Some of the common barriers could be people with different skill bases may have different priorities and manage risks differently. Some people may not be used to sharing knowledge. Each profession may use their own language often called jargon. Some people may resent having to work with others outside their chosen profession. It is important that each profession is respected and the knowledge that they have is valued. In such situations the adults will need to find ways to share practice and learn to work together. They should find ways to let people know about their skills and expertise by shadowing each other or giving information workshops. Be very clear about their roles when working together

    Team C encompasses a wide array of skill sets that will make our group invaluable. All five members of our team are knowledgeable in utilizing Microsoft Office products such as PowerPoint and Word.     Inter-professional collaborations are invaluable relationships between healthcare professionals that are formed with the sole purpose of providing optimum help for a service user (Hornby and Atkins, 2000). Goodman and Clemow (2010) explain that collaborative practice is actually based around two ideas.     The use of multidisciplinary teams in the acute care setting has increased as numbers of patients with high complexities and their care has increased (Edwards k). Literature defines a team in the healthcare setting as a divergent group of individuals, who are clear about their role and roles of others, that come together to achieve a common goal (Jellis 75).
