Abstract

India is emerging as one the biggest markets for the automobile sector with a wide range of vehicles like passenger car to agriculture vehicles. Currently there are approximately 15 manufactures for passenger’s cars, 16 manufactures of two-wheelers. The Indian auto industry is one of the world’s fastest growing with 17 percent over the last five years in Compounded Annual Growth Rate. The Indian auto industry now is the eleventh largest manufacturer of passenger cars, fourth in commercial vehicles and second in two-wheelers in the world.
