Hello everyone,
Let me as you a question. Do you think personality traits have a strong correlation if you are a heavy social media user? If we compared the countries in the world in reference to the population of these countries, then Facebook, a popular social media forum, would be the second largest country in the world, compared to India’s population. Only China’s population is larger than Facebook.

My name is ??. I am a student at Western Governors University. I want to thank you for taking the time to preview my video.

Today I will explain my thesis statement which is “Social media creates a vehicle to interact in different ways”.

First main point I want to cover is how social media promotes interaction. The second point will be the exchange of information. The final point will be how social media has created a new avenue for advertising. I will conclude with three audience questions.

First of all, common social media sites that are used to promote information would be Twitter. This social media site is a text based that allows a maximum of 140 characters to write and send a message which is called a “tweet”. Facebook, which is a web based social media site, allows users to communicate via a bi-directional friends list. LinkedIn is a social media site that professionals use to communicate through a friends list. The last social media site we will discuss is MySpace. This site affords the user to create a followers list, which can include friends, bands, businesses and sports teams to name a few.

Next, how will social media allow the exchange of information? This can be achieved by creating a friends list to allow other users to communicate. With the creation of one-directional ties, which allow users to follow bands, businesses, and sports teams as an example, users can create public or private profiles to establish privacy settings. One example of a privacy setting is bi-directional friendship confirmation. This means before two users can

There are three different social media networks that I have used ,still use, and one that I have not used myself. MySpace is one of the ones that really got social media networking to where it is now. I used to use MySpace to talk to friends, share pictures, listen to music, and share my blogs. These were the main functions that I used MySpace for. MySpace was one of the first big steps that lead other social media networking where it is. Being able to interact with your friends and family in a virtual world is a big success to being able to so be many places at once. Facebook is another social media networking tool that took the world by surprise and has also took over MySpace users. With Facebook you are able to share photos, express what is on your mind with your friends and family, write messages between you and others, and stay connected with people all over the world. Facebook came and conquered most of, if not all, social media networking web sites. The main thing that separated Facebook from any other social media web site is that it was made for college students. Little by little it became so popular that everyone wanted to be a part of this network. Businesses really took advantage of the social networking site for advertising. With so many advertising competitors on the network, it is hard for users not to take advantage of the products advertised. Businesses even have commercials that tell to “like” them on Facebook to ensure the attention of the social media users. The latest installment to the social media networking web sites that I have not used is Twitter. Twitter is different in its own way for various reasons. Twitter allows people to, share their posts or “tweets” with all of their friends at once or certain people that want to see your posts. Everything that you can do in the other two social networking sites is done completely different in the Twitter world. When you add friends they are either…

This increasing habit is further fostered by the introduction of social networks, defined as internet service sites where people can contact each other and share online content and media. Examples of social network sites include Friendster and Myspace, both are now obsolete but have preceded the likes of Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram which are arguably the most popular networks to date. Although these sites have different specific purposes, they have one common feature. People can share photos where their contacts can see them and make comments on the images.…

Contrary to that there are several studies that show a positive link to social networking. Social media keeps family and friends close to one another no matter the distance.…
