 Introduction

The
 aim
 of
 this
 report
 is
 to
 analyze
 the
 existing
 problem
 of
 Singapore’s
 low
 fertility
  rate.
 By
 delving
 into
 its
 root
 causes
 and
 potential
 consequences,
 we
 hope
 to
  effectively
 evaluate
 the
 measures
 that
 the
 Singapore
 government
 has
 taken
 to
 tackle
  this
 critical
 issue,
 while
 proposing
 some
 practical
 recommendations.
 However,
 as
 no
  panacea
 is
 without
 side
 effects,
 we
 will
 also
 highlight
 the
 limitations
 to
 our
  proposals.
