She is amazing and probably the most important person I have she is my best friend. She has been my best friend for the last 4 years. I have known her since I entered high school and since that day we have become the most inseparable friends in the world. I have much affection toward her, we have lived many things together, through thick and thin, she always been there for me when I needed her. She is a little taller than me and always makes those few inches a big deal. In her eyes I’m supposed to be the tallest because I’m the oldest which is true sometimes but not this time. She is the type of girl that doesn’t wake up super early to fix her hair; she would rather have the extra sleep. She would rather eat a juicy Big Mac instead of a boring salad because she says “salads are for cows”. She would rather spend the day in her sweatpants and a pain white t-shirt because she find them more comfortable then a dress or skinny jeans. She has those hazy eyes that get you in a trance; her eyelashes are long and beautiful. Her personality is one of the things that. I love about her, she can handle trouble and carry heavy burdens and still have a smile on her face. When she smiles it’s because she feels like screaming. She is a strong girl even when other are not. Her hair has the sweet scent of strawberry and is always messy, even when we go out. She is a very attractive girl in my eye, she is tall but I think that's what makes her look cute. She is normally thick and her skin is caramel .Her touch makes people shudder like a cold breeze of winter, it’s smooth and hasty. Her smile is a bit crooked but it’s a genuine smile, not a lot people don’t see her smile because she hates her smile only the people she trusts see her genuine crooked smile. When she smiles her dimple appears which is the cutest thing because she hates it and tries to hide it but I always notice them. If I can describe her in a few words they would be friendly, respectful, hardworking, and an honest…

    Friend

I was just as shocked as everyone else when I first met my friend Uzo, his life has been everything but regular just because of his skin color and nationality. In fact, what makes him so distinctive is the mixture of both his black skin color and Ukrainian descent.
My friend was born back in Soviet times from an African father that he has never seen and a white Ukrainian mother. Despite the fact that his mother was Caucasian, his skin color turned out being as dark as it could, his hair was as curly as any other African child’s and every feature of his face had nothing in common with the other Ukrainian children that he had to play, study and grow up with. To make it more clear, there has never been one black person in his little town named Kharkiv, therefore, his birth was more than one of the greatest topics to discuss for all of the communist old-timers living there at that moment.
Ever since my friend was born, he has always been sightseeing for some and the main character of jokes for others. Nicely said, his mother became an outcast that was no longer accepted by the society. The poor lady lost her job and the social position in the communist party. Luckily, by that time it was already the very end of the 1980's, the end of the Soviet Union existence, consequently, the rules were not nearly as harsh as they were in the earlier decades. Nevertheless, the fact that a child was born not from the local comrade but from a person with a completely different nationality and race; put the family of two through numerous hardships. Even though Uzo was abandoned and not understood by the society, my friend grew up to be a very humble and hard working teenager. The offense that he was taking in from others was not all due to racism, but rather nationalism that was blooming the small cities such as his own.
As soon as he started making some income he decided to escape his motherland and move to the United States of America, which as he stated was then known as "The…

I walk into the dull atmosphere classroom, pictures of present and past high school baseball players stare back at me. The marker board covered in scribbles of math and assignments that will soon be issued to us by the teacher. One look at the teacher and you can tell he wasn’t in the best of health. Starting with his overweight physic to his white, pasty skin, almost a bit discolored in some areas. It was soon discovered early in the year that he suffered from a heart deficiency. Yet, having constant road blocks enter his path, he continues to teach and peruse his passion. I rather much enjoyed that class, and there was one month left till until school was out. Students start to file into class; among them is a familiar but unacquainted face, Dan. Dan and I knew each other but neither of us had taken the time to traditionally acquaint ourselves and really talk. Dan had short golden blonde hair, pale white skin, which was making his acne more visible. He was tall and lanky with a friendly smile and attitude. That day he finally introduces himself and we begin to talk. My first impressions were that he was sweet yet a bit odd, referring to many people and myself as ‘love’. As well came off as ambitious and carefree, after having snuck out of class multiple times and just leaving for the day. As summer dawned closer and sophomore year was coming to an end, me and Dans friendship grew and we exchanged numbers. Summer began, weeks pass and we talk from time to time. Till one day while texting I ask if he had any big plans for the rest of summer. The reply I got was not what I expected. He told me that he was due to have brain surgery in a month or so. And as well, that that wasn’t the worst part, not only is his condition fatal if he doesn’t receive proper treatment, but that if the operation is successful that a side effect is that he will lose all memory of the last 4years of his life. At this point in the conversation my mind was racing trying…
