Hey you! Yes, you. STOP being unhappy with yourself - you are perfect. Stop wishing you looked like someone else or wishing people liked you as much as they like someone else. Stop trying to get attention from those who hurt you. Stop hating your body, your face, and your personality- LOVE THEM! Without those things you wouldn't be you and why would you want to be anyone else? Be confident with who you are! Smile(: For yourself. If anyone hates on you because you are happy with yourself, say "Forget them!" My happiness will NOT depend on others anymore. I'm happy because I love who I am. I love my flaws. I love my imperfections. They make me me. And 'Me' is pretty amazing.
Advertisers want YOU and ME to feel insecure so that they can make more money. Our bodies are their tatget market because if they can create more insecurity then they can make more products and make more money. This may be the first time you read or hear this but there is absolutly nothing wrong with the shape of your body, the color of your hair, the pigment on your skin, the color of your eyes, the size of your boobs, or the width of your hips. You are you and there is nothing wrong with that. There is nothing wrong with yout body, there never was.
Our main priority should be to make sure that the self-loathing, low self-esteem, low self-worth, eating disorders, self-harm, and bad body image-which is so prevalent in out generation-does not leak into the upcoming generatings. Instead, we are obsessed with trying to get thinner, changing outselves, and hiding our scared behinf our fake smiles. We turn the other cheek and pretend things are fine. We are so broken and defeated. But this is not are destiny. It's time to face our demons, seek treatment, reach for recovery, and be honest with ourselves and the people around us. If we rise up and turn our brokenness and defeat into the driving force behind fixing the things that are wrong, we will be the hero's saving the generations to come...
