LOU PAI
Pai was born in Nanjing, China and came to the United States at the age of two. Pai obtained both his B.S. and M.S. in economicsfrom the University of Maryland, College Park, where his father was a mathematics professor. A mathematics whiz, he was instrumental in getting Enron into the trading business. Between May 18, 2001 and June 7, 2001, Pai sold 338,897 shares of Enron stock and exercised Enron stock options that put another 572,818 shares on the open market. At the time, the shares averaged $53.78 per share. Mr. Lou L. Pai is the founder of Element Markets LLC and serves as its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Pai is a private investor. Mr. Pai served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Enron Accelerator, a subsidiary of Enron Creditors Recovery Corp. (alternate name, Enron Corp.) from February 2001 to July 2001. He has over 30 years of experience in the energy industry, including roles in government, asset development, sales and marketing, and trading. He has worked for Conoco, DuPont, and Enron, where he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Enron Capital and Trade Resources. Mr. Pai served as the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Enron Energy Services Operations, Inc. from March 1997 to February 2001. From August 1995 to February 1997, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Enron Capital & Trade Resources Corp., a subsidiary of Enron Corp. (now known as Enron North America Corp.), and from September 1994 to July 1995, he served as a Managing Director of Enron Capital & Trade. He served as a Director of NewPower Holdings Inc. since November 1999. Mr. Pai served on the Natural Gas Advisory and Electricity Advisory Committees of NYMEX and played a key role in developing the electricity futures contract. He served as a Director of Enron Accelerator. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Woodward Governor Company. He served in the US Army. Mr. Pai holds a Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Economics from the University of Maryland.

Forrest E. Hoglund

Forrest was born in Lawrence, Kansas in 1933 to Edna and Roy Hoglund and attended public schools. After graduation from Paseo High School in Kansas City in 1951, he attended William Jewell College. He transferred to the University of Kansas, graduating in 1956 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. That summer, Forrest married Sally Roney and began his career in the energy industry with Humble Oil (later Exxon). He was called to active duty with the Army Corps of Engineers and later served in the U. S. Army Reserves.

Forrest has enjoyed a distinguished career in the natural gas industry, including many years in top management with Exxon, Texas Oil and Gas, and EOG Resources. He now serves as Chairman of the Board of Forest Oil Company and SeaOne Maritime Corporation. After relocating several times and raising their family, the Hoglunds now divide their time between Dallas and Houston, Texas.

Forrest now focuses much of his efforts in the philanthropic arena. Since retiring from EOG Resources in 1999, he has become involved in many nonprofit and educational organizations, serving on the Endowment Association of the University of Kansas, where he earned the Distinguished Alumni Award, and as Past Chairman of the Board of Visitors of M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston. He also served as Chairman of the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Currently, he is Chairman of the Leadership Capital Campaign for the Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas and Vice Chairman of Reasoning Mind, a web-based math program for middle school students. Together, he and Sally have chaired numerous fundraisers, capital campaigns, and galas, including the recent “KU First” Capital Campaign, which raised more than $650 million.
