Period 1A English 11 The Unwanted
Abortion is a big issue in our society; it has been debated for many decades. There are people that are against abortion (Pro-life) and then there are people that are for it (Pro-choice). This is one of those topics where there is no right or wrong, people have their own strong opinions about it. Although there are many situations females face that lead to an abortion; it’s still a serious decision to make. People who are pro-life are strongly against abortion. (CDC) In the same year about 17% of teens had gone through an abortion as well. Many of the reasons for having an abortion were, they were too young, it would interfere with school or work, or they could not afford a child. There is large amount of parents who forced their teens to have abortions, for some of the same reasons. In 2011 the numbers came down slightly.
