Resources : carbon , they try to reduce it by innovations such as : Bench marling => helps to understand the peaks and troughs of energy usage throughout the day Equipment changes => more efficient equipment and technology that reduce carbon use (more efficient lighting with controls , AC and refrigeration ) Behavioural change => create an energy awareness guide for their shops ; 2009 : won the Bronze Award for Carbon Reduction in the London Mayor’s green500 ; 2010 received platinum award Part of the Carbon Reduction Commitment Energy Efficiency Scheme (CRCES) WATER : saved in excess of 140.000 litres of water by installing water hippos in their staff and customer toilets WASTE : minimizing waste at all stages of the suppy chain , food production and sending zero waste to landfill from their shops ; 12.000 fresh meals to numerous shelters for the homeless in London every week ; charities collect from shops at the end of the day. 2.5 million products to charities for the homeless
