Course Description:

Prerequisite / Co-requisite
Prerequisite: Successful completion of ENG 093 or a score of 43 or better on the English section of ASSET; or a score of 16 or better on the ACT (or equivalent SAT score).

College-ruled notebook paper
Writing utensils
A folder or notebook to secure your work (You’ll need to have copies of your current writing projects with you in class, always.)
A folder to submit at the semester’s end (Each student must turn in all his/her graded writing in a folder to the instructor at the end of the term. Otherwise the student may receive an I (Incomplete) in the course until the folder is turned in to the instructor.)

Course Overview

Course Description:
English Composition I provides instruction and practice in the writing of at least six extended compositions and the development of analytical and critical reading skills and basic reference and documentation skills in the composition process. The course may include instruction and practice in library usage.
