There are many different ways to label a child with ADD. A person without a mental disorder might label the child’s behavior as problematic because they are ignorant to the symptoms in which the child suffers. In the society we live in currently, many, if not all businesses, corporations, and other institutions have started to take mental disorders and looked past them as being something discriminatory. Another way to label this problem would be to say a child “fails to be attentive” or “is unable to fully understand due to an outlying issue which neurologically affects the child.” Due to the behavior of two adolescence boys, an outside observer may automatically believe that they are affected by ADD. However, in reality one child may be affected but the other child may also be seen as having ADD due to his adolescence immature, high energized behavior.
