Life of a City Boy
Coming from the city of St.Louis, it’s hard to adjust to a new way of life in a smaller town. Although I live in Sioux Falls, I would prefer to live in my home town of St.Louis for a few reasons. St.Louis is obviously way bigger than Sioux Falls, which means there is more things you could do around the city in your leisure time. Sioux Falls is small, which means there is not many activites and people around. Also in St.Louis there is a lot more entertainment, and better restaurants to eat at. It’s definitely not a tossup for me to choose between the two cities.
Living in Sioux Falls is like living in a box compared to St.Louis. If I were living back in my home town there would be more things I could do in my leisure time. I have a whole list of things to choose from. For example, if I were hanging with my friends and we wanted to go to the mall, I could choose between 3 different malls to go to that are at least three stories big in size too.   Where as if I were in Sioux Falls, my only option would be the Sioux Empire mall which consists of only one story. Also if I wanted to go to a movie theatre in Sioux Falls, I would have to choose between Carmike and Century theatres. If I were in St.Louis I could choose between 5 different movie theaters that are regular movie theatres and IMAX movie theatres. I’m a very outgoing person and I like to spend my leisure time having great fun exploring different places, living in Sioux Falls is like being stuck on repeat because I have to go to the same places over and over again and I just get sick of it!
Second of all, St.Louis consisted of a lot more people and activities. When I go out and about around the city of St.Louis, I see new faces that I’ve never seen before, versus Sioux Falls, where I would go out and about and see a person that I seen at the park last week.   Living in a bigger city, it seems like you have a lot more breathing room.
