Libyan/Syrian Conflict
Libya and Syria: A Crisis Engineered

The situations that occurred in Libya and are presently occurring in Syria are much distorted in majority of the population’s eyes, with loose details and misinformation being preached by politicians, reported by the mainstream media, and discussed internationally. One key guide to being informed and understanding the events that took place is to realize that living in a certain part of the world shifts your views and the influences apart of that culture or society may distort ones thoughts on the crisis that took place overseas in the middle eastern/African countries of Libya and Syria. Grasping the conflict with an open mind and conducting research, one can acquire suppressed information that’s specifically meant to remain shy of the popular topics being debated in the world of the media and in openly discussed politics internationally. Through numerous research sources, the main point will be to show and prove that intervention in the Libya crisis and the Syria crisis are an extremely dangerous idea and are backed by imperialistic views and the desire for power. Though these rebellions that have been occurring can have a clear cut purpose to remove their benevolent dictators, Gaddafi or Assad, they have merged into western backed forces consisting of extreme Islamist views and goals to implement Sharia law. With the main stream media’s absence to report truth and valid information on these events, many people have become one sided not understanding the views from the other side and have been fed lies with the appearance of truth. The crisis or rebellion that is occurring in Syria is similar to the one in Libya, except that Syria had a much longer time period to prepare for an event like this where as Libya had minimal time. When comparing the two, it is clear that both occurrences had very similar motives and funds. The people backing the rebels in Libya are the same people backing the rebels in Syria and the rebels

This article speaks about the recent new that a coalition of seventy partners, which includes the United States, has gotten involved in the Syrian Uprising by pledging to donate millions of dollars and communications equipment to the rebel groups in Syria who are opposing Assad's rule. This move by the U.S and other Western powers symbolizes the start of a new type of involvement in Syria, perhaps a more direct one. This move by these powers have caused many Syrian rebels and people observing all over the world to question whether diplomacy and/or sanction methods can truly end the Syrian regime's oppression of their people. This more direct shift of action by the Western and Arab allies of the Syrian rebels toward balancing the military balance in Syria is dangerous regionally because the crisis there is similar to a proxy conflict, which could possibly aggravate sectarian tensions. The Syrian rebel army is currently overmatched by the regime forces in terms of weapons.…

In the present year, terrorist organization named as the Hezbollah, entered the war as an ally to the Syrian government. The Syrian government claims that they denied the proposition of the terrorist group. The Syrian government has maintained its grasp on 30-40 percent of Syria’s territory with military support from Russia and Iran, both considered to be enemies of the United States of America. In the other hand, Qatar and Saudi Arabia aid the uprising by transferring weapons to the rebel groups which controlled 60-70 percent, of the Syrian country. In June of 2013, the amount of deaths in the Syrian Uprising had surpassed 100 thousand, according to a report released by the UN. In mid-June of 2013, tens of thousands of protestors had been imprisoned and according to a report released by the United Nations, there have been reports of widespread torture, and terror in state prisons. There are three sides to this war. Many accuse the opposition forces, some accuse both sides. But most nations accuse the Syrian government of severe human rights violations.
