Liberal vs Conservative

  1. Part one
  i. Liberal:   Liberals believe that we should have equal opportunity and equality for all.   These people usually relay on the government to solve issues.   Liberals are known as the left wing.   The party, Democratic (blue) usually determines if a person is Liberal.  
Conservative: Conservatives believe in personal responsibility and a limited government.  Believe the role of government should be to provide people the freedom necessary to pursue their own goals. They are known as the right-wing.   Their party is usually Republican, which on the map is red.
Moderate: Moderate is between the two of them.   It is person who holds values that are considered traditionally conservative as well as some that are considered traditionally liberal.   These people try avoiding all of the extreme measures when it comes to the government so they place themselves right in the middle.  
  ii. The political spectrum I fall under is a Moderate view.   I am a person who likes to hear both sides of the story before making my decision.   I do not have set opinions on a certain issue unless I hear about something that really catches my attention.   Liberals believe that when it comes to abortion, women have the right to decided on what they should do to their own body.   I agree with that.   Another example is gun control. Conservatives believe the people have the right to bear arms and defend themselves.   I also agree with that.   There are just too many issues in today’s world to just take one side.  
  iii. Abortion:
  a. Liberal: They believe the decision to have an abortion is a personal choice of a woman regarding her own body and the government must protect this right.  Women have the right to affordable, safe and legal abortions
  b. Conservative: they believe Human life begins at conception.  Abortion is the murder of a human being.  An unborn baby, as a living human being, has separate... [continues]
