Letter For Judges
November 25, 2014

MS. HELEN JOY LORIEGA-RIVERA
Judge
Miss Education 2014

Madam:

The Education Student Council is requesting your precious time to have a deliberation with us regarding the result of the Miss Education Closed-Door Pageant. After a meeting last November 17, 2014, the council have decided to have an appeal to review your decision in the result of Miss Education 2014 for the following considerations:

a. number 10 was consistent to be the first in both rounds but was not given the chance to be the Miss Education 2014;

b. the council is suggesting to just follow the original results in where Miss Education is candidate no. 10 followed by candidates no. 2 and 6; and

c. if ever height requirement issue would arise and candidate no. 10 cannot make it then candidate no. 2 will represent the College of Education and if ever candidate no. 2 cannot make it also, candidate no. 6 will represent our college.

Your opinion and suggestion will be highly appreciated and we are very willing to talk you in person in your most convenient time. Just contact Mr. Ryan Dave Estrella, Miss Education Committee Chairman at 09079945746 or Mr. Glen Dave S. Horbino, ESC Chairperson at 09093827213.

Thank you and God Bless!

Sincerely yours,

RYAN DAVE L. ESTRELLA
Committee Chair, Miss Education 2014

    Appeal Letter

    • 315 Words
    • 2 Pages

This letter is written in an attempt to appeal my academic probation and allow me to receive financial aid so I can continue my college education. During 2007 and 2008 my grades were poor. The cause is no less than my own fault, but I believe the circumstances I faced led my focus away from my education. In the spring of 2007 my father suffered a heart attack. This event sent my world into a spiral. I continued school as best I could and helped my mother take care of my father. To help with the costs of the medical bills I took out a private student loan for much more than was needed to pay for school. I was also out of a job and living off savings and credit cards, which was a huge mistake. Beginning towards the end of 2007 my bills began to pile up and I was getting behind. I managed to get a part-time job to help pay for bills and was still trying to go to school, but as the bills mounted part-time work wasn't enough to keep me afloat. I had to start working full time. I tried to continue my schoolwork, but as time went on work took over my life and my education took a backseat. I didn't plan on quitting school, so I never withdrew from classes and I constantly told myself I would go to class, but it never happened. Now that I have stabilized myself somewhat I hope to take on a light, manageable course load and get my education back on track. I hope this letter can help convince you that I can and will manage myself better and keep my grades up. Any additional information can and will be provided if necessary. Thank you for your time and consideration.…

It has come to my attention that we have opposing views on many of the topics discussed at the Constitutional Convention. Representation, counting slaves for taxation and representation, federal control of taxes on imports, and the federal governments control on trade are just some of the topics we have yet to see eye to eye on. I would like to focus on one specific issue and bring to your attention the flaws in you system. I would like to explain why I feel that my system would be a better suit for the states. That is why I write this letter to you explaining and observing our different views on representation.…

I am studying to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. I am writing to appeal for my financial aid.
