1.1 Background
Leisure time defines freedom provided by the cessation of activities; especially: time free from work or duties. Leisure, or free time, is time spent away from business, work, and domestic chores. It is also the periods of time before or after necessary activities such as eating, sleeping and, where it is compulsory, education. The distinction between leisure and unavoidable activities is loosely applied. A distinction may also be drawn between free time and leisure. Leisure is one's discretionary time spent in non-compulsory activities, time spent away from cares and toils. Because leisure time is free from compulsory activities such as employment, running a business, household chores, education and other such day-to-day stresses, not including eating, and sleeping, it is often referred to as "free time." This category is for leisure activities such as those which one voluntarily spends away from such stresses, so called 'down time activities'. The distinction between leisure and compulsory activities is not strict, as compulsory activities may be done for pleasure as well as for long-term utility. Leisure activity is important role in human life. People experience leisure activities every day, whether or not they realize it is happening. The many forms of leisure activities provide endless amounts of opportunities for people of all ages. Like any concept, for all its positive aspects, there are some downsides to participating in leisure activities. However, participation in leisure activities is essential for better living. In Bangladesh, leisure activities are also very essential for its citizens. People try to relax their mind whenever they find leisure time. Especially students of Dhaka City have seen a rise of facilities and accordingly a lot of way where students can spend their leisure with their preferable partner. However, several limitations may constrain students to go for their leisure agenda. Limitations usually force them to keep their lesiure activities intentions due to the inconvenience people will undergo. Leisure time also has an impact on one’s efficiency. This shows the importance of entertaining time for every single individual. 1.2 Purpose

This report had the following primary objective:
To obtain information concerning the pattern of leisure activities among students AIUB, NSU, BRAC, EWU & South east university of Dhaka city. Secondary objectives of this report are as follows:
To obtain the general idea regarding the condition of leisure facilities in students of Dhaka City. To identify several constraints concerning leisure activities. To identify individual leisure activities pattern.

To identify the pattern of leisure activities partnership. To identify the relation between leisure time and efficiency.

1.3 Scope
This report quantifies analyzes the leisure activities for prepared. This survey covers a various sample of population. This increases the scope and reliability of the report. The study covers students of Dhaka City which are AIUB, NSU, BRAC, EWU and South East University.

1.4 Methodology of the study
1.4.1 Research design:
The research collected data through surveys and also completed a small scale experiment. The survey selected 40 respondents throughout the different university. 1.4.2 Data collection Method
Data has been collected through both primary and secondary sources. Besides results has been collected by survey, observation and experience. The survey is a mixture of closed-ended and open-ended questions on popular leisure activities, its constraints, and other similar features concerning in this survey. The survey data collection method was selected because it was most appropriate to collect quantitative data.
