on the Marijuana plant. The extensive history about Marijuana. The many reasons the Government should legalize and decriminalize Marijuana. OBJECTIVE: To empower society with knowledge and change the laws on a government level. SUPPORTING POINTS:
1. The benefits of the Marijuana (hemp) plant.
a). Hemp seeds make biodiesel fuel.
b). Hemp seeds add versatility in cooking.
c). The hemp plant can be used in producing “hemp Crete” which is used in building homes. This is only the “tip of the iceberg” on the many benefits of incorporating Marijuana into our Government. 2. The history of Marijuana (hemp).
a. “Hemp for Victory” established in 1942 to end World War 11. b. Effect of Marijuana Prohibition in the U S.
c. Ending Marijuana prohibition in the U.S. would be detrimental to the Mexican drug cartel’s cash flow. The use of hemp dates clear back to the Stone Age.
3. Marijuana has endless medical benefits.
a. Marijuana works beneficially for all types of muscular spasms, such as intestinal, cerebral, respiratory, coronary and glaucoma.
b. Clinical studies have shown a medication derived from cannabis could alleviate psychotic symptoms of schizophrenia.
c. One of the most important uses of Marijuana is the positive effects for cancer patience suffering from appetite loss/weight-loss, pain, and anxiety. The many uses of Marijuana in medicine have proven to be a vital resource. COUNTER ARGUMENTS:
1. Some argue that Marijuana is a gateway drug.
2. A percentage of the American people tend to think that legalizing and decriminalizing marijuana would send the wrong message to our younger generations. 3. Marijuana is addictive.
