Legalization of Marijuana

Marijuana should be legalized because of the tax dollars saved, the medicine it is used for, and the business it would create. Marijuana is also one of the more popular drugs among. Marijuana is also a “clean” drug it does not have any major health concerns connected to it.
  The biggest reason is for the tax dollars able to be saved. One way to save the money is because less people will be going to jail for selling and growing it. Also the government will be paying less for the special equipment for controlling the marijuana. Also the police budget will be able to focus less on the special teams for Marijuana.
Another reason is because of the medical usage that it can be used for. One of these many uses is that marijuana can be used to slow down the progression of cancer cells. It also helps against Alzheimer’s disease by increasing the blood flow to the brain. Marijuana also helps against HIV by increasing the food intake after taking some form of Marijuana. People get the “munches” after Marijuana.
Marijuana will also create new business. The tobacco companies will be able to make their own brands of marijuana. People would also be able to buy clean marijuana instead of the “worry” of having something unwanted in the Marijuana. Also there are so many people selling Marijuana illegal on the streets that the number of consumers will be great.  
Although for all these benefits are great there is still the fact that marijuana is still a drug that is looked down on by society. Marijuana is a drug that is able to give a person the sense of being high, thus resulting in not being able to make clear decisions. The leading religions also look down on the drug very severely.
