Student’s personal belief of her or his learning philosophy.

My learning philosophy is the following:

I can learn successfully if I commit enough efforts to it, but I also need the right guidance from the instructor.

So my approach to learning is a blend of commitment of personal efforts, skills and time in order to achieve the ultimate goal, which is to successfully master the knowledge of accounting, and also reliance on the teaching expertise of the instructor.
The modern business environment is a complex and often uncertain field that requires engaged understanding of the major business disciplines, and accounting is definitely one of them. And that is why, in order to plan and operate in such an environment I need to be familiar with accounting. This requires an ongoing commitment of my efforts, skills, time and even patience that are required from students in order to master such a challenging field of business as accounting. So, in other words, the Financial Accounting course is not only an academic requirement, but also a critical part of knowledge that is vital for any successful businessman.
Another important part of my learning is due to the right guidance from the instructor. In my opinion, instructors should cultivate the art of thinking, and particularly how to think by employing different teaching methods, such as class discussions and demonstrations, which are very critical to my learning and generally help a lot. Also, it is the instructor who helps students to understand difficult concepts and tells them what to focus on along with what should be better left behind.
No doubt, individual learning also plays a significant role in my studies. However, I believe that less then a half of my learning comes from the reading of a textbook, but most of it is due to relevant challenging class discussions, presentations, lectures and tutorials.
