Why apple has been successful?
Apple Inc. is the brain child of guru tech Steve Wozniak and Steve jobs. it was started in 1971 and since then, it has grown to be one of the world’s leading supplier of diverse telecommunication products. The company’s success is attributed to its abilities to remain highly competitive through its innovative business strategies (Davila, Epstein and Shelton 231). At Apple Inc., innovation increases customer and stakeholder satisfaction. Leadership in innovation at apple Inc. is responsible for its continued success in the world of telecommunications.
Is there any systematic "approach" to innovation at apple? If yes, how would you characterize it? Can it be imitated? If no, why not?
Innovation at apple inc. approaches innovation in a systematic way especially as it pertains to its manufacturing processes. The company’s design team is responsible for implementing innovative changes to its product design. It is not possible to imitate company’s innovativeness because its strategic approach targets at meeting specific needs of its customers. Imitating company’s innovations is not possible because the company has patent its processes inhibiting unfair imitation by a third party.
We’ve been talking about innovation, and we’re now looking at Apple and its success. Where does "innovation" fit into that success? What is innovation at Apple?
At Apple Inc. innovation is the main reason for its global success. It has designed more than five innovative products that have greatly impacted on the telecommunication world. The company has ensured great investment on innovation ensuring the company remains innovative in a highly dynamic business world. Innovation is the backbone of Apples Inc. success in the industry.
What is the role of a CEO in charge of an organization dedicated to innovation? Does Steve Jobs fit within this definition? Is he

The first function, planning, focuses on the company’s strategy to set out and achieve their organizational goals. The technology industry is perpetually evolving to be successful Apple has to stay ahead of the curve using strategic planning to ensure that their innovative products dominate the market. Apple “stands for innovation in personal computing and digital media distribution” (Finkle and Mallin, 2011, p. 63). The second function of management is organizing and Apple’s organizational infrastructure is strong and profitable. They employ the best software designers in California and allow China to take the competitive advantage in production. The third function of management, leading, has also played a big role in the development of Apple as a corporation. One of their most successful, intuitive, and respected leaders was Steve Jobs. Jobs redefined “Apple’s image to a ‘hip’ alternative to other brands – computers that offered a cutting-edge, tightly integrated user experience” (Finkle and Mallin, 2011, p. 65). The fourth function of management, controlling, is about modifying your product or service based on the feedback of your consumer. Jobs worked to make Apple’s products more compatible for Microsoft users.
