1. Meeting notes – what was discussed during your meeting?

The importance of self well being
Career of choice.
Review my CI file to re-start doing hours towards my LCDC
Possible positions open within the company to a Business Administration Master graduated.

2. What questions or concerns did you discuss with your mentor about leadership?
Student asked questions such as

a) How do you know you were already prepare to be a leader?
b) What is your ideal leader, and which characteristics a great leader need?
c) How difficult is for you to accepted failures and how do you deal with them?

d) Discuss your leadership style with your mentor including the strengths and weaknesses of that particular style. How can you use your strengths to become a more effective leader? How can you improve your weaknesses?

Over the discussion between mentor and student they focus their conversation on the positive leadership styles. They talked about Participate, transactional and transformational styles. Student stated she has a little bit of each. Student also expressed interest on knowing more about them and trying to identify the best that will described her. Mentor recommended student not to be hard on her and not to try to be a super hero neither. She continues saying that sometimes event if the leader has all the nature to help the company he/she is working with may not have the resources or the will to work with by the leader style.
