Introduction
The purpose of this document is to present a corporate compliance plan for managing the legal liability of Riordan.   This plan will address the following:   enterprise liability, product liability, international law, tangible and intellectual property, legal forms of business and governance issues.   This plan outlines the prevention and management of the legal aspects of the above-mentioned issues.
The following corporate compliance plan sets forth the guiding principles for the conduct of the business of Riordan Manufacturing in accordance with applicable law, internal policies and procedures and high ethical standards to ensure that the company’s core values of honesty, fair dealing, ethical business practice, and full disclosure are followed by all.
Understanding the Plan
Riordan takes the plan very seriously.   Everyone must take personal responsibility for conducting him or herself in a way that reflects positively on our business and advances the principles set for in this plan.   All employees must follow the ethical standards set for in this plan and are obligated to report, in a timely fashion, any possible violations that they may witness.   Reporting in good faith possible ethical violations by others will not subject an employee to reprisal.   In fact, retaliation or punishment for reporting suspected unethical or illegal conduct by another employee is against the law.
Violations of the Plan
Employees who fail to comply with this plan are subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination.   The determination of discipline will be based upon the facts and circumstances of each particular situation.   An employee accused of violating the plan will be given the opportunity to present his or her version of the events at issue prior to the determination of discipline.   The following are examples of conduct...
