Law and Legalize Prostitution

Legalize Prostitution In close research, I have come to strongly believe that legalizing prostitution would be beneficial for the country of Partyzthan. Although there could potentially be a negative to legalizing prostitution, the pros outweigh the cons tremendously. There is an indefinite amount of reasons as to why prostitution should be legalized, but the three significant reasons to legalizing prostitution are civil rights, decrease in STDs, and real crime will be stopped. First, prostitution should be legalized because of human or civil rights. It makes absolutely no sense for a person or law to be able to tell someone what they may or may not do with their own body. No person’s human or civil rights should be violated on the basis of their work or profession. Prostitution is a service industry just like any other in which people exchange skills for money or some type of a reward. According to a survey taken in Partyzthan, 88% percent of its people agreed that prostitution should be legalized. Second, prostitution should be legalized because it would greatly help the STD rates from increasing 49% a year to 22% a year. Partyzthan would be a safer and healthier country for its people. One may ask, “How is this so?” Well the reason being that STD rates would decrease is because these services would be watched over by the government. People would not be able to have a prostitution business unless he is licensed and his prostitutes carry zero diseases. There will be a multitude of guidelines that would be required to follow in order to make this a safe and successful business. Third, prostitution should be legalized because instead of law enforcers focusing on prostitution they would be able to focus on real crime such as burglars, kidnappings, and murders.
