From here, the researchers strive to discover and search for more effective ways on how man can conveniently live their lives. Technology such as the use of computers and networking are some discovered means to lighten man’s workloads without compromising quality of the results. This kind of technology is best observed in businesses or companies such as hotels, schools, resorts, and even shopping malls. Relative to the researchers study, this technology will be implemented to a resort and hotel for reservation processes. A resort is a place used for relaxation or recreation, where visitors are being attracted to take their holiday or vacation. It refers to places, towns or sometimes commercial establishments operated by a single company. On the other hand, a hotel is differentiated as an establishment that provides paid lodging on a short-term basis. Computer programmers are continuously developing a system application to better serve resort or hotel guests because


some hotels and resorts are becoming fully automated while others are still striving for the similar setting. The researchers introduce a “LAN-Based Reservation with Billing System for Hacienda Gracia Resort and Hotel” to improve its reservation and billing system. The advent of new technology gave rise to easy and hassle-free interaction between and among humans. This is why most hotel and resorts prefer to employ computerization in their business. Review of Related Literatures

The review of related literature and studies disseminates the readers with the points of agreement and disagreement among the previous studies done on the same topic, as well as with the importance of each to the present study. and typically includes entertainment and recreational activities. In previous years, resorts consist only of pools and cottages. However, nowadays, it has been replaced by fitness center, water sports, casino, sauna, night clubs, bars, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, babysitting service and hair dresser. On the other hand, a hotel is frequently defined as a central feature of a resort. The provisions of basic accommodation which consist of a room with a bed, a cupboard, a small table and a washstand has largely been replaced by rooms with modern facilities, including en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning or climate control. The cost and quality of hotels are usually indicative of the range and type of services available. However, due to the enormous increase in tourism worldwide, hotels standards have improved considerably. Hotels are independently assessed in more sophisticated guidelines, like offering 7-star services. However, in today’s times most of the vacation places combine best features of both hotel and resort. Most of hotel-resort provides goods and services such as twenty-four-hour room service, baggage storage, concierge desk, news stand, in-room electronic safe, safety deposit box at the Reception Desk, air conditioning, family rooms, free parking, swimming facilities, rooms/facilities for disabled guests, and non-smoking rooms.
