La Perla positions its production on the high-end market and aims to a diversification of proposals through the variety of brands. Particularly, LA PERLA, the high-end brand that is known all over the world, caters a variety of lines that range from underwear to night lingerie, from beachwear to apparel and accessory products, for which the production has been licensed to specialised suppliers. At international level, La Perla has a commercial structure based on subsidiaries (Germany France, Spain and USA) and select distributors. La Perla sells its products in the most excellent specialty shops and department stores, and manages a chain of boutiques, directly and in franchising, situated in the main locations worldwide.
2.History La Perla
The enduring tradition of hand crafted Bolognese corsetry has become the hallmark of all La perla Products. The Designer Ada Masotti opens a corset boutique in bologna with a promising name –La Perla. The name was inspired by the jewel lined case with red velvet in which the first products were delivered. 1960
After starting with traditional skin tones, La Perla introduces new colored lingerie .Additionally; La Perla introduces a series of co-ordinates in pure”B.B style” in woven, chequered and flowered prints with lace inserts and a range of co-ordinates that match black lace bras with girdles of colored flowers. 1971
After many years of success in the linger industry, La Perla is poised to enter the world of swimwear fashion with the brands La Perla beach-wear, combining charming aesthetics with a continued search for new designers and constant inspiration from haute couture. In the same year,La Perla presents the first triangle bra in a silk nightgown. 1978
