Scope and Goals
Kudler Fine Foods is a small company that has seen tremendous growth and has a primary goal to expand and increase the services provided while improving the effectiveness of operations and improving the consumer’s experience. The key to this goal is marketing and Kudler Fine Foods has developed several techniques that will increase the quality and quantity of consumer relations. Management at Kudler Fine Foods has proposed developing a system to track the purchasing habits of individual customers. This will enable the customer purchases to be tracked in order to accumulate loyalty points to be redeemed for gift items, specialty foods, and other products or services that will be available through partnerships with other external companies.
Supporting Measures for Success
When Kudler incorporates, the new frequent shopper program there will be a variety of ways the company will be able to determine if the program is a success. Program success will be as reflected by loyalty points earned and by the redemption of those points. Another element that would indicate that the frequent shopper program is a success is the ability of management to use data mining software to extract information about purchasing patterns, advertising and promotion response, and frequent shopper sign-ups. The ability to extract information from the data stored in the database is perhaps the most significant benefit that Kudler will enjoy, allowing them to fine-tune the products and services offered to appeal directly to the preferences of Kudler’s most loyal customers and thus attracting more customers that are like-minded.
