Kudler Fine Foods Problem Statement
This paper will review the Kudler Fine Foods Problem Statement as defined by the main issues of risk to the business.   Understanding the main risks will allow sufficient time and efforts for resolving these issues and achieving the organization’s goals.   The SWOT analysis identifies the main risks as: 1) Competition from another gourmet shop opening; 2) Economic downfall; 3) Kathy’s health; 4) Seismic damage from earthquake; and 5) Weather conditions causing damage.   For purposes of similarities 4 and 5 are combined in this problem statement.
Competition from another gourmet shop opening

Kathy’s health
A primary concern is the owner’s health in every business and measures must be taken to protect the owner from ill health. The facts show Kathy is over working herself by taking on too many tasks personally and working too many hours each week. The solution is to schedule a 40-hour week as with any other employee, delegate tasks to other managers and to herself. Kathy should oversee these tasks, and build a team management system to brainstorm ideas for the future.

Summary
This paper has reviewed the main risks as identified in the SWOT analysis and made recommendations for resolving these issues. (University of Phoenix, 1989).  
Knowing and understanding the main issues and risks, individual managers could assist Kathy and use the management team to improve the end vision for Kudler Fine Foods.
