With the success of many companies who offer rewards in exchange for customer business, Kudler Fine Foods is also seeking to develop a frequent shopper program that will track customer purchases in exchange for loyalty points which will be redeemable to customers for gift items, specialty foods and other products or services from local businesses. By tracking purchasing behavior at the individual customer level, and providing high value incentives through a partnership with a loyalty points program, this frequent shopper program will potentially increase interest as well as revenue in Kudler Fine Foods’ products and services. While price is always a determining factor for most customers, the primary Kudler Fine Foods consumer tends to more focused on quality and availability of diverse and unique items. Because of their consumer base, Kudler has partnered with businesses that have the ability to offer higher end items, such as airline upgrades and specialty foods.

Legal Considerations
The legal concerns of a reward program can include privacy issues which can be addressed in a membership agreement with a specific and detailed privacy policy ensuring the security of each customer’s personal information. Upon customer agreement to participate in the frequent shopper program through the signing of this membership agreement, the customer and Kudler Fine Foods are legally bound to adhere to the terms of service indicated in the membership agreement. The membership agreement should provide details’ concerning what is expected of both parties involved; including, how loyalty points are obtained, delivered and redeemed. Security policies also need to address customer concerns in regards to selling or sharing personal information with a third party.
