Kubanska Raketna Kriza

The historical document that I interpreted was the “Russkaya Pravda”. It can be translated as “Russian Truth” or “Russian Justice” (Boyko, 2011). This early code of law of Kievan Rus was considered truthful and fair at the time. It also seems to be straight forward and fair when compared to some of the other codes of law within the same general time period. The code was discovered by the historian Vasily Tatishchev in one of the Novgorod chronicles in the 18th century (Boyko, 2011). The first annotated edition of the code was published thirty years later. More than 110 other copies dating from the 13th to 18th centuries have been discovered since then (Boyko, 2011). The oldest is the Short Edition (Kratkaya), and is also the version that I used for interpretation. The Vast Edition (Prostrannaya) is the most comprehensive. Finally, the most controversial is the Abridged Version (Sokrashchennaya). I tried to find out why it was controversial, but a lack of information available prevented me. It would suffice to say that no matter if one held more sway than others, the document reflects what was most important to people of that age, defines common crimes of the time period, respective punishments to fit those crimes, the establishment of proof of some of these crimes.…

On October 13, 1991, on the eve of war, the future president of Republika Srpska, Radovan Karadzic, expressed his view about the future of Bosnia and Bosnian Muslims: “In just a couple of days, Sarajevo will be gone and there will be five hundred thousand dead, in one month Muslims will be annihilated in Bosnia and Herzegovina.” There were no Bosnian forces to fight back, and because they had been left defenseless, the country ultimately ceased to exist.…

The most important year for Albanians was 2012, when we celebrated the 100th year anniversary of the independence of Albania. The 100th year anniversary of the declaration of independence is a huge day for me, and for every other proud Albanian, because it shows that Albania made it through the centuries of war against the Ottomans. Most events and activities were planned to begin in October and November. The main events were held in the center of the capital city of Albania, Tirana on November 28, 2014 at 11:00am with patriotic displays of flags, anthems, statues and music. People who were walking around were enjoying the atmosphere of that beautiful day. Most of them were dressed from head to toe in red and black because of the colors of the Albanian flag. This event was celebrated among all Albanians because the brave soldiers made it through the war, and because of the achievement that we attained during this period of time.…

As unfortunate I am, who fails on dreaming inside the boundaries of reality, I dream that the American nation will one day rise and live it to its creed:” We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal.” – Martin Luther King Jr. King stated these words, in 1963 in Washington D.C., on his famous speech “I have a Dream.” After experiencing the American nation and having learned about its literature and history, I get the idea that Affirmative Action is still necessary as Americans tend to not show enough equality and diversity. To me, there exists only one definition of affirmative action, which is race and gender neutral against the actual discrimination by privileging the minorities, in order to make up for past injustices. I say this, as most Americans describe affirmative action differently, causing problematic controversy. Americans still lacks on equality and diversity in their universities and workforce, which means that affirmative action is essential for further positive changes towards them.…

The third-person omniscient is a narrative mode in which a story is presented by a narrator with an overarching point of view, seeing and knowing everything that happens within the world of the story, including what each of the characters is thinking and feeling.[1] It is the most common narrative mode found in sprawling, epic stories such as George Eliot's Middlemarch.…

In theatre, a monologue is presented by a single character, most often to express their mental thoughts aloud, though sometimes also to directly address another character or the audience. Monologues are common across the range of dramatic media (plays, films,[1] etc.) as well as in non-dramatic media such as poetry.[2] Monologues share much in common with several other literary devices including soliloquies, apostrophes, and aside. There are, however, distinctions between each of these devices.…
