The particular role is that of an Independent Living Specialist, which I have had the honor of performing for the last two plus years. During my time in this field I have had the following duties or responsibilities bestowed upon me. Represent organization in Rehabilitation orientation, Respond to both written and telephone request for various services, Facilitate Soft Skills Training, Resume writing, Assist persons with disabilities, Establish and maintain relationship with other agencies and organizations to meet community needs and to ensure that services are not duplicated, Plan, implement and administer the PATH program in senior facilities, churches and other community organizations, Keep records and prepare reports for owner or management concerning visits with clients, Provide information and refer individuals to public or private agencies or community services for assistance, Consult with supervisor concerning programs for individual families, Visit individuals in homes or attend group meeting to provide information on agency services. According to Heneman, once the planning process is complete, the next step in developing an effective strategic staffing system is to develop a thorough understanding of the jobs to be filled. This process is known as job analysis. Job analysis, seeks to recognize and define the specific task, knowledge, skills, ability, and other characteristics for a particular job.
