King Khufu
I think King Khufu should deserve a spot in the hall of fame and in this paper I’m going to tell you why. King Khufu was the king of Egypt in the 4th dynasty. His rule began in 2589 B.C. His rule ended in 2566 B.C. He was the son of King Snerferu and Queen Hetepheres. His real name was Khnum-Khufwy. One reason why King Khufu should deserve and spot in the hall of fame is because his pyramid is one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world. This pyramid is known as the Pyramid of Khufu or Pyramid of Cheops. Some people think that the Pyramid of Khufu was built by slaves. But it was not it was actually built by one hundred thousand people that were unemployed because of the Nile River, and he paid them with good food and money. A second reason why I think King Khufu should be in the hall of fame is that he had a very structured kingdom. He was pretty strict which made people obey him. This also made him one of the most famous and misunderstood kings. Being organized as a good king should be made him wealthy. Which resulted into Egypt being wealthy. The third reason that King Khufu should be in the hall of fame is that Khufu appointed himself as Re during his lifetime. So since he was king people believed that he was Re. This is what made him a respectable king. I personally think that King Khufu deserves a spot in the hall of fame. With all the things you now know about him I hope you do too!

The ancient pyramids of Khufu were built by slaves. In other words, a slave is an unpaid worker who is forced into labor. The quote from Document A, “Egyptians were compelled into labor” suggests that slaves built the pyramids. The important thing about this is that compelled means forced, so the Egyptians had no choice and were forced to obey the will of Khufu. Another quote from Document A, “for 20 years people wore themselves out” also suggests that slaves built the pyramids. This quote connects to the fact that the Egyptians were split in gangs and were forced to haul 2 ton blocks of stone over long distances. This information is convincing, because not many people would want to work themselves to death, risking their life as well as their…

The construction of the Great Pyramids of Giza is one of the greatest mysteries in history. They are the largest and most elaborate structures built in the ancient world, which is what considers them to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The Great Pyramids of Giza are made up of three separate pyramids for three different pharaohs: Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure who were all pharaohs during the Fourth Dynasty (2,575-2,450 BCE), also known as the Old Kingdom. Khufu’s pyramid was built first and is known as the Great Pyramid. It took over 20 years to build his pyramid with the help of hundreds of thousands of peasants. Khafre, Khufu’s son, built his own pyramid a few years later and this pyramid appears to be larger than Khufu’s, however,…
