1. INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE ARMB 313 ACCOUNTING RESEARCH METHOD 1.0 Introduction

Students enrolled in the Bachelor of Accounting (Hons.) program at Universiti Tenaga Nasional are required to prepare a research proposal and a project paper in Accounting as a requirement for the completion of the degree. ARMB 313 Accounting Research Method is a compulsory subject for Bachelor of Accounting (Hons.) students. This course is the pre-requisite for ARMB 423 Accounting Project Paper course. It covers various aspects of research methodology that will enable students to conduct research exercises and prepare them to write research papers. These include research design (including sampling design, and data measurement and scales), sources and collection of data (primary and secondary data), analysis and presentation of data, as well as report presentation (both written and oral). At the end of the course, students are required to come up with a professionally written accounting research proposal. 1.1 Course Objectives
