Decision in Paradise
Introduction
After evaluating all the alternatives we have come to a decision in building in Kava. In Part 1 and 2 we identified the problems, defined the criteria, goals and objectives. In this third and final phase we will offer recommendations that Wal-Mart will use and apply to move forward to the expansion to the island of Kava. Now we can work to evaluate the resources that will be needed during the part of the decision-making process. Once the implementation plan has taking place, we will measure the process to ensure that the plan stays on track.
Implementation
After consulting with our various departments in our organization, I have written a plan to use as a guide when meeting with Kava government. The purpose for this plan is to organize a meeting with Kava representatives and government officials and discuss all the business aspects. In our first meeting we will discuss the problems that Kava faces such as natural disaster and diseases since safety is our number one priority not only for Kava residents, but all of our employees that will be sent there. This will stress our concerns regarding the environment and financial impact on our current and future problems. Next we will discuss possible solutions to quickly protect the population and infrastructure, and help us move toward a speedy recovery after an event occurs. Our store structure will be build with the latest technology, equipped with early warning systems to minimize massive losses. This will be implemented right away to reduce our costs in the future. We will set up training seminars to train our employees of what to do before and after a natural disaster strikes. My plans are to have the store up and running in two years.
