My Challenge

Have you ever cared about someone but then where forced to leave them against your will? Or do you ever think you’ll never miss something so bad until you leave it behind?   Oh, do you ever think that some things you leave behind will ever miss you?
That’s how I felt when I moved to Palmyra in fifth grade and I was challenged with making new friends in a new school.
It was the beginning of a perfectly great summer. I started frivolously packing all of my things up. I was excited but I could not get the sick words out of my head, when my dad said that” we are going to move.”
I kept asking, “Where?” but he never answered that night.
Just when my younger brother Jamie sadly asked “why?”
  My dad’s face didn’t look ok; he looked annoyed by all the questions we were asking.
  My dad explained, “Your current school is not as smart as the school that we are moving to we’re moving for you and Jamie.”
I took one last look in the house, it gave me a memory to savor of when I was seven. I used to write my name all over the steps. Therefore, there it was, the red front door was closed. All I could do was smile and sit back in the car and watch us drive away.
The new house however was humongous; I exclaimed “It’s bigger than the other house!”
Jaime agreed, “It’s huge.”
It was two stories but my other house was too. Consequently we just didn’t use the downstairs because it was not finished. It is white and five houses on the left from pick-a-dilly. It has five bedrooms, one big kitchen, and it has two living rooms. With two bathrooms too! Now I was excited because my old house had one big living room, one big fat chef kitchen and three bedrooms. my three brothers had to sleep askew in the same room, I had one room and my dad shared a room with my step mother!
Soon as I knew it, I was shopping for school clothes and school supplies. Just like that it was the morning of the first day of school. I was so nervous, I did not act like... [continues]
