Kalimi Nga Miti I Europës Tek Ideja E Europës

As it is firmly known, the discussed principle of supremacy was established as well as developed in almost historical case of Costa v. Enel. In that case the collision between the law of the European Community and the Italian national law had been analysed. The conclusion of the European Court of Justice (hereinafter referred to as ‘ECJ') was based upon the limitation of sovereignty of each Member State and also on the transfer of powers from the States to the Community. The ECJ's core justifications for the discussed principle are ‘independence, uniformity and efficacy' of Community law. From this point of view, European Union law is ‘an integral part of ... the legal order applicable in the territory of each of the Member States'.…

The last approach is manifested in a different sphere, in political affairs. It is about the European Union as a civilian power, not only within its region but around the world. Besides that good intention and all huge financial support made…

Many scholars have attempted to identify the paradoxical positioning of the Balkan region or simply Balkans. The Balkans are geographically part of Europe, but conceptually excluded from the Western European political and economic sphere as well as culture, beliefs and values. The “Balkan construction” was part of the Western Hegemonic discourse and it has been seen as a ‘remote area’ - the dark and barbaric side of Europe. The typical Western – created the concept for Balkans reflect stereotypes such as violence, ferocity, irrationality and uncontrollable passion. Balkanism has been always defined as subordinate and as a bipolar system (rational/irrational, center/periphery, civilization/barbarism) arranged hierarchically as a primary point…

Nearly half of the century ago we couldn’t imagine Europe as it is right now. At the time it seemed to be utopia for some idealists. Nevertheless, there were some talks on the “United States of Europe”. However, no one could dream about the European Union. Last decades have shown us how far countries can give up their own interests in order to withstand as one unity. The EU as we know now is an ambiguous system that doesn’t fall neither for state structure neither for kind of ordinary union of states. This phenomenon that we can observe is the result of gradual integration both politically and economically. On the one side, economic integration in Europe, from the European Payments Union and the European Coal and Steel Community to the Common Market, the European Monetary System, the Single Market, and the euro, is one of the most evident, controversial and discussed aspects of Europe’s development. This integration we can say was based on the memories of the World Wars. People living in Europe at the time vividly see the consequences of wars on their lives and they wouldn’t let this happen again. Therefore, they were mentally ready to promote peace and unity throughout the world and Europe in particular.…

Globalisation is an overarching term referring to the process of state integration and worldviews resulted from increased human connectivity through increases in communications and trade technology. However Globalisation is contentious ideology. Views on globalisation fall into three main categories, Hyperglobalist, sceptics and Transformationalist. These three views vary heavily on the extent and even existence of Globalisation but for the purposes f this essay I will be assuming a Transformationalist perspective. The main characteristics of Transformationalism will be explored in this essay that of a transformation of state sovereignty and that state integration has been a long-standing process. The European Union will act as a case study in this investigation as it provides a clear example of contemporary state integration. The European Union, with its origins in the early 1950s can give us clear examples of the breadth and depth of state integration. The member states within the EU have undergone substantial changes to their state sovereignty, yet at the same time the state is still a substantial actor on the International Relations Stage. Furthermore the EU’s integration has its origins in the 1950s, which can give us a clear example of how this integration, although increased by recent tides of communications and transportation technologies, has been a long-standing process. This essay will examine globalisation within the EU through a Transformationalist perspective to explore the extent of the impact of globaliation in Europe to see what it can tell us about the rest of the world.…
