Executive Summary

In today's business world, "Doing more with less" is a viable strategic statement for any company that wants to streamline its processes without reducing the resources available. Once that information was gathered, it became a matter of researching what options were available to the company and what could be implemented immediately with complete success.

This report provides options for the company to reduce its supply budget annually by $18,000.00 and reduce its operational costs by $31,200.00 without eliminating any of the services it requires for success. Through the use of Staples Advantage Program and changing from Verizon to Sprint, these numbers can become reality.

Storage areas within the facility were also an issue that employees brought up. Some areas do nothing more than hold unused and unwanted items. These spaces could be used in more productive ways once a more effective recycling program is put into place. Information regarding Stafford County's recycling program will immediately enhance the office spaces once a recycling sweep is conducted at the facility. The information on what items are accepted is provided.

Lockheed-Martin has a opportunity to show its clients, employees and all stakeholders that it wants to make changes that will be long term and beneficial to the company. The options that are presented in this report when implemented will do just that. By streamlining business processes using current technology, reducing and...
