Gaius Julius Caesar is considered to be one of the greatest statesman and a Roman general. It is believed that Julius springs his family from the genetic factor Julia, the descendants of Lulus, who was the son of Aeneas, the Trojan prince, and the supposed son of Venus goddess. Caesar, the cognomen springs its origin from an ancestor born by a caesarean section. Caesar was born on 13th July 100 B.C. and died on 15th March 44 B.C.
Julius Caesar was the son of Gaius Julius Caesar and Aurelia Cotta. He was named after his father. The year 85 BC Julius witnessed the death of his father. When Julius was just nearly16 year old, he became the head of the family. None of Caesar’s children survived. His first real child Julia, died just after she was married leaving behind only a son, who died shortly after. She was the only child Julius Caesar had with his first wife, Cornelia. His second wife, Pompeia, did not allow him any children and neither did his third wife, Calpurnia. Of his illegitimate children, the only one that is confirmed to have been sired by Caesar is Cesarion. This was his son from his romantic relationship with Cleopatra, the Queen of Egypt. Cesarion died when he was just 17 years old and never had any children of his own. July is the seventh month of the year in the Julian and Gregorian calendars and is 31 days long. The month of July was previously called Quintilis in Latin since it was the fifth month in the ancient Roman calendar. The name of the month was changed to July in honor of Julius Caesar during the Julian calendar reform. It was also changed around 450 BCE when January became the first month of the year.
Julius Caesar was considered one of the best statesman and Roman generals, frankly I must agree. Julius saved so many lives in battles when he could have just turned his cheek and not have done anything. Julius didn’t have the best childhood but, that was wrong of him to not stay loyal to his wife. Julius has defiantly made an impact on the people in is time, but he was so well known back then that many people still remember him to this day.
