Persuasive Essay
By: Brittney Wilcox
Everybody likes doing nice things for other people. Especially after-ward when they get to see a big smile on that persons face. A lot of celebrities like to help people as well. Most of them are very well respected. John Cena happens to be one of those people. Would you like to know a few of the many reasons John Cena is well respected?
One reason John Cena is well respected is the tremendous amount of support he shows for the troops. For the past few years John Cena has visited Iraq and Afghanistan to entertain the troops. He participates in a paper view every year called "Tribute to the Troops" for the men and women serving our county. Did I mention that he does this entirely for free? John Cena also does several other things than just support the troops.
John Cena also grants several Make a Wish requests for children every year and donates a tremendous amount of money to help those children in need. In January 2012, he made Make a Wish history by granting his 300th wish. His 300th wish was to a 7 year old child named Jonny Littman with a special spinal condition. John Cena is also number four for making the most Make a Wish requests. He also supports other charities other than the Make a Wish foundation. He also supports breast cancer awareness. He does this by partnering up with Susan G. Komen selling his breast cancer gear and donating 100% of the profits to “Susan G. Komen for the cure”. He also supports Grief Support charities. John Cena also does other things for people than donate his money and make sick children smile.
John Cena also donates all his time he has to his job. His job is to wrestle and entertain people all over the world. When he donates all of his time to his job, to entertain the public he spends a lot of time away from his family. WWE wrestlers only get time off when they get injured, or use some of the personal days they are granted on their contracts. These are only a few of the reasons why
