Chapter- 1: Introduction

1.1 Background

A report is something about a comment on specific considerable matter. Its says positive and negative on a particular subject and given proposals and suggestions for further improvement if the report is on Job satisfaction of employees of any renowned organization, it will be also an analysis on the Product and services of a renowned organization and overall employees satisfaction on the provided service by a world famous organization “Mcdonalds” is one of the leading fast food shop in the world, is very much dedicated for ensuring quality food service to it’s customers. This report is about the Job satisfaction of employees of Mcdonalds at Stansted Airport branch.

With 32 stores around the south west, Tops Pizza is becoming one of the fastest growing pizza chain stores in the UK. Tops Pizza was opened in 1989 and the first shop was at 74 Fulham Palace Road. There are now 32 shops and more opening in the near future.

The company has expanded quickly by offering great service and most importantly, delivering delicious pizza. At Watford, Tops Pizza’s store is located at 155 The Parade, Watford, WD17 1NA 

1.2 Statement of the problem

Products, Services and Job satisfaction of employees are most important factor of any organization. Moreover, any organizations are highly depending on the employees’ job satisfaction. If an organization is able to satisfied its employees by providing the different facilities and services, its must be able to reach its desire goal.

So, the statement of problem is how the Mcdonalds maintain and satisfies its employees by providing the different facilities and services.

Satisfaction is that level of motivation that leads the employees to work effectively and to remain in the organization fulfilling their needs, and expectations. For that reason, a detailed analysis of various aspects of satisfaction and motivation that ultimately centres on the job satisfaction level is essential. Here discussing issue will be the job satisfaction of employees and providing services at Mcdonalds, Stansted Airport Branch

1.3 Objective of the study

The report has two main purposes: one is primary and the other secondary.

The objective of the study is –

Primary Objective

A fundamental aim of this report is to observe and examine the level of job satisfaction of employees, also explore the food products and other services provided by Mcdonalds, Stansted Airport Branch.

Secondary Objective

To achieve the aforementioned goals, there are some basic requirements that constitute the secondary objective of the report. These are:

▬ Understanding the concept and practical knowledge of working environment of food restaurant.

▬ Exploring the potential causes of the differences (if any).

1.4 Research Questions

The specific research questions for the study are as follow:

■ Are employees satisfied with their Mcdonalds job?

■ Are employees in Mcdonalds satisfied with working environment & co-worker ?

■ Are employee satisfied with their salary and other facilities provided by the Mcdonalds?

■ Do employees think that they are overloaded with the work or do they have reasonable or least work?

■ Do people enjoy their job in relation to payroll, promotion, incentives, rewards, rules and regulation?

1.5 Scope of the study

The report really focused on:

● A broad overview about the organization.

● Various HRM issues.

● Rendering products, services and working environment.

● Proposals and suggestions for future improvement.

1.6 Research Methodology:

Methodology is a master plan specifying the methods and procedures for collecting and analyzing the desired information. It is the framework or blueprint that plans the action for the research project (Zikmund, 2003).
