Spirit & Soul

Hebrews 4:12
I Thessalonians 5:23 Sprit and soul become saved by virtue of regeneration

Breath of life The soul is the central part. The Spirit is the life substance to live on. Life power of the wind keeping you alive. Soul invisible part of us

Ecclesi 3:20-21

The soul giv.en to you at birth

The term that is used to describe Spirit in Christianity is "Pneuma (Koine Greek term)," which means breath. Christianity teaches that there is a difference between the soul and the spirit. The soul is who an individual is and the Spirit (breath) gives them life. The soul is the "being" of a human, the central part. The spirit is the life substance that gives you breath (it keeps you alive).

The Bible mentions in the Book of Ecclesiastes 3:18-22 states----- I said in my heart, “Concerning the condition of the sons of men, God tests them, that they may see that they themselves are like animals.” For what happens to the sons of men also happens to animals; one thing befalls them: as one dies, so dies the other. Surely, they all have one breath; man has no advantage over animals, for all is vanity. All go to one place: all are from the dust, and all return to dust.

This particular verse points out that there is a separation between animals and humans---- Verse 21: Who knows the spirit of the sons of men, which goes upward, and the spirit of the animal, which goes down to the earth? So I perceived that nothing is better than that a man should rejoice in his own works, for that is his heritage. For who can bring him to see what will happen after him?

Umm.. First of all, Christianity doesn’t spread MONOTHEISM to the world. We believe that the trinity functions as one unit with three different personalities, which means that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are ONE with distinct functions. The Holy Spirit is the third person of the trinity or God-head. The term “holy” as ascribed to the third Person of Deity means “sacred.” The term ‘Spirit” is derived from the Hebrew word “ruach” and the Greek word “pneuma.” The terms are applied to the third Person of the Godhead to refer to the life-giving, generating, and sustaining power of Deity. By the PERSONALITY of the Holy Spirit is meant that He possesses the elements of personal existence, which is more than a moral principle or impersonal influence. The term “personality” is used in reference to the Godhead in the restricted sense of personal distinctions instead of necessary organisms, as when used of humans.

Even though the Greek word “pneuma” is neuter gender, its usage is of such construction that when used of the Holy Spirit it is referred to as a masculine person. In the New Testament, the Book of John chapter 14:26, the promised Comforter (Parakletos) is in the masculine gender, and Jesus says of Him, “He may abide with you forever.” In John 14:26, the Holy Spirit is called “He.” The deity of the Holy Spirit is just as distinctly taught in the Scriptures as the personality of the Holy Spirit. By the deity of the Holy Spirit is mean that He is one –with God, co-equal, co-sustaining, and co-ETERNAL. In creation, it is the Holy Spirit that is represented as the moving, creating AGENCY, when the earth was formed and all things in it. Genesis 1:1-3

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the SPIRIT of GOD moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Job 33:4
The SPIRIT of GOD hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life. It is the Holy Spirit (Spirit of God) that energized and prepared men for special work and service for God, as revealed in the Old Testament (Tankh). The Spirit of God was put in Bezaleel to prepare him for the cunning work-manship about the construction of the tabernacle. The Spirit of God was also given to Aholiab, to assist Bezaleel...
