Proving That Jesus Walked on Earth

Jesus Christ was biologically and archaeologically proven to be a real person. Jesus was proven to be real through categorized lineage such as in the book of Mathew in the Bible: “Abraham was the father of Isaac…Solomon the father of Rehoboam… Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, and Mary was the mother of Jesus who is called the Messiah.”(Matthew,1:16)

This directly proves that Jesus was born of kings, as stated in the quote above. “Jesus was born of a Virgin” that statement right there has so much controversy in and of itself it indirectly proves not only that Jesus was born but creates an argument. The argument that he was born of a virgin is skipping the approach that Jesus was conceived but the approach that he was born a virgin affirming that he was born.

Many eyewitnesses can and have proclaimed Jesus as really a man and a man who walked on earth. These include those such as author and scholar Lee Strobel, Blumberg, gospel writer John Mark, ancient Historian “Thallus” and John McCray an author, publisher, and apologetics major. Thus the reality that Jesus can be proven through archeological, biological, chronological and biblical evidence. Biblically, scripture is the most sound proof for Christ as a real person, When it comes to lineage, he is part of one, When it comes to archeology and literature, there is more proof in the bible to prove that Jesus is real than any other person to ever have According to prophecy, Jesus is the man to have fulfilled all the (351) requirements stated earlier.

Let’s check the first reason Jesus was a real person. The archeological Proof of Christ being real is as accessible in the known world as proof that Rome ever existed. The cross where Jesus hung is archaeologically identical to the crosses made in the early Roman time period. Jerusalem is still here, the road

However this opinion may not necessarily be true. The base of many theories of resurrection is the bible, which suggests that talk of physical resurrection of Jesus is logical as there is recorded evidence through the accounts of Luke, Matthew, Mark and John. These accounts can be seen as evidence that theories of resurrection are logical because they are classed as eye witness accounts. Matthew reported that Jesus appeared to the disciples and said "peace be with you". They came up to him, took hold of his feet, and worshiped him.' (Mathew 28 V9) Mark also says that Mary saw a man in the tomb and he said 'You are looking for the Jesus of Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen!'(Mark 16 V6) but Mary was too scared and didn't tell anyone. Another source of evidence was Luke's statement when Jesus appeared; 'They gave him a piece of cooked fish, which he took and ate' (Luke 24 V41-43). Then finally John said Jesus appeared to Thomas, saying 'put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side' (John 20 V27). These accounts support a Christian materialist view that Jesus' resurrection was physical as he could eat, be touched, walk, speak and breathe. They are considered as evidence as they are written historical accounts. The evidence must be reliable; would they risk their lives for made up stories?…

Lastly is the fact that Jesus is characterized as an actual touchable being, rather then just a spirit. In all four of the gospels, after Jesus returns, he is able to be touched and can move around. In the Book of Luke, 20:27, while Jesus stands among the disciples, Jesus says to Thomas “Put your finger here, and see my hands...” proving to all in the room that he truly was human, rather than a ghost.…

When explaining the resurrection of Jesus, it is important to keep to the “minimal facts approach” by looking at some important facts. The first fact is that Jesus died by crucifixion. This highly evidenced occurrence has kept with the minimal facts approach because it is so widely attested. Not only was the crucifixion recorded in the four gospel accounts as well as a “number of non-Christian sources” (Habermas & Licona, 2004, p. 49).Lucian of Samosata, Mara Bar-Serapion and the central text of Rabbinic Judaism, the Talmud, all illustrate the death of Jesus. A “highly critical scholar of the Jesus Seminar, John Dominic Crossan, writes, “That he was crucified is as sure as anything historical can ever be” (Habermas & Licona, 2004, p. 49). While the crucifixion of Jesus is the beginning of explain the minimal facts, the more important fact is that Jesus’ disciples believed that he rose and appeared to them.…

The first fact is that Jesus died by crucifixion. Josephus, a Jewish historian; Tacitus, a Roman historian; Lucian, a Greek satirist; Mara Bar-Serapion, a Syrian philosopher; and the Jewish Talmud attest to it historically. All of these sources are non-Christian and should be viewed with a higher degree of authenticity because they are unbiased (Habermas & Licona, 2004).…

As a follower of Christ it is not merely what He taught, but who the person of Jesus Christ claimed to be and what he practiced while He was here on earth that convinces me of who He is. Dr Towns explains it this way on page 2; “ Jesus Christ affirmed his deity by applying to Himself the statement of Jehovah, ‘I am’”. Jesus was equating Himself with God. Additionally, as a man, He was the carbon copy of God in His attributes. In Matthew & John, Jesus proclaimed to be all-seeing, all-knowing and all-powerful. Jesus made statements establishing Himself as indistinguishable from God. But the most sovereign declaration Jesus made was about forgiving sins, which is found in Luke 5. It is the story of Jesus healing the paralyzed man, starting in verse 20 “When Jesus saw their faith, he said, ‘Friend, your sins are forgiven.’ 21 The Pharisees and the teachers of the law began thinking to themselves, ‘Who is this fellow who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive sins but God alone?’ 22 Jesus knew what they were thinking and asked, ‘Why are you thinking these things in your hearts? 23 Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? 24 But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.’” God and God alone can forgive sins.…

The Case for the Resurrection of Jesus, was written by Gary R. Habermas, and co-authored by Michael R. Licona. Haberma is a distinguished professor, and the chairman of Philosophy and Theology at Liberty University, in Virginia. Habermas, using a minimal amount of facts, gives a provoking argument for the historicity of the Jesus Christ’s resurrection. This book was not meant as a 100% sure way of proving the historicity of Jesus’ resurrection, as Haberma even admits, there is no way to prove for sure that it actually happened, but based on the information that he has compiled, he believes that it is completely and entirely probable.…

The questions that are asked and need to be answered in are, what makes Jesus so different, can you keep a good man down and Isn’t there some other way. I recently read where Christians faith in Christ is firmly rooted in history and those of us who put faith in Christ have plenty ground to stand on. What made Jesus different can be summarized in the acts that he was able to perform and given the fact that Jesus was the only one that claimed to be God. His friends both understood and accepted this claim. His enemies however did not accept what he said and that leads us to the question of exactly who is Jesus.…

So with all this attention focused on him and his incredible achievements from cradle to grave, how is it that we have no contemporary record of any of this? After having won the admiration of royal officials, Roman leaders and Synagogue officials, how is it that he wasn’t whisked off to the royal court and even Rome itself? How is it that none of his astounding new teachings were recorded by anyone at the time? We have absolutely no trace or mention of Jesus’ exploits anywhere until the New Testament books are written decades later. And outside of them, there is no mention of Jesus whatsoever for nearly a century after Jesus’ alleged death. This is a staggering omission, and totally at odds with the picture given to us by the Gospels. Jesus’ Triumphant Entry into Jerusalem - Jesus’ tremendous popularity peaks out and then, completely inexplicably, immediately fizzles out, crashes and burns after his triumphant - albeit short-lived - entry into Jerusalem, when the whole town turns out for the miracle-working prophet from Nazareth (and then promptly turns on him without…
