    Just take a minute and think about religion. How many religions are there really out there that we may or may not know about? How did they all get started? There are hundreds of religions all over the world. Usually, one thing we do know about religion is that they have things in common. A founder or the head figure is a common thing that religions have and are based around. It is a person that teaches and everyone follows him/her. Two major religions that are active in today’s world would be Christianity and Muslim. These religions are similar but yet different one founder would be Jesus and the other Muhammad.

    When it comes to Christianity, the life and death of Jesus is this religions faith ( fisher, 2005). Everyday people all over the world celebrate the life of Jesus by going to church and still keep his word in their homes. Jesus was born a Jew, thousands of years ago, and his teaching are what Christians today use and follow (Fisher, 2005). The Bible is known as the life and teaching of Jesus and is used everyday even those who may believe in Jesus.   There are different ways that the bible in use when it comes to different religions of Christianity and the way that people live and follow Jesus. The bible does not change it is just the way that each different denomination uses it and interprets it. The old testament is all of Jesus teaching and miracles that he preformed and that the Jews and religion of Judaism follow mostly (Fisher, 2005).
