Jesus and Mohammed both play or played significant roles in the world today. Christianity is the world’s largest religion with over 2 billion followers, followed by Islam with over 1 billion followers. Christians are followers of Christ where as Muslims are followers of Mohammed. In this article the reader will learn the historical lives of Jesus and Mohammed as well as the impact their deaths had on their respective religion. Additionally, the reader will also learn the ways each individual was/is worshipped. Lastly, the reader will discover how their messages are being carried out in the world today. Without a doubt, these men have affected humanity in a powerful way.   According to Silas, the author who wrote the article, “Jesus or Muhammad, A Comparison of the Founders of the World’s two largest religions” he states, “As religious leaders they laid down many principles to live by. Christianity and Islam have much in common, but differ strongly in other aspects.

Jesus Christ also referred to as “Jesus of Nazareth” was born in Nazareth to the parents, Mary and Joseph. In the New Testament of the Bible in the book of Matthew, Chapter 1, it states that Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit (God’s Spirit).   The Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”   All of this took place to fulfill what the Lord has said through the prophet: “The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” - which means, “God with us”.
