Josh Frier, Alex Scheps, and Kenneth Samilski are requesting a loan in the amount of $65,000.00, in order to establish a floor servicing business called JAK’s Floor Service, which will offer stripping and waxing of tile or linoleum flooring and also will offer rug cleaning services. JAK’s Floor Service will be located at 152 Rees Street Buffalo, N.Y. 14213. The owners plan on being the only employees of the company. JAK’s Floor Service will be a partnership between Joseph Fryer, Alex Schepis, and Kevin Samulski.
The loan amount will cover the cost of all the machines needed to strip, wax and clean carpets. It will also cover the cost of all the other tools and chemicals needed to start up the business. Also to cover the cost of the box truck that will have a lift gate on the back to get all machines into it.
JAK’s Floor Service will not have to purchase (or rent) the building because the business will operate out of the garage at Joseph Fryer’s house. The garage is a two level building about 2,000 square feet total, the second floor is 600 square feet and the main floor is about 1,400 square feet. The first floor is where there is a garage door that will allow the box truck needed to get to the jobs will be stored. Also there is a room with shelves on all the walls that will hold all the stripper, wax, and cleaning chemicals. The rest of the area will be filled up with the floor machines, floor buffers, carpet cleaners and the rest of the cleaning tools. The second floor is where the office will be located, there are three offices and there is an area that will be used as a waiting area. The company will operate from this location for the first 5 years.
