Jaguar vs Maseratti

SUBJECT: Recommended Vehicle for Lot

As you have requested I have researched several sport and luxury vehicles. The Maserati Quattroporte is, I think the best choice of car for our lot.

My search was based on previous sales numbers from our lot. The main criteria for selecting the Maserati is:

  A) Cost
  B) Engine Sizes
  C) Comfort and Quality of the Vehicle

With the aid of internet research, I narrowed the initial possibilities down to two:

        1) 2011 Jaguar XJ
        2) 2011 Maserati Quattroporte

Both of these vehicles meet our basic lot requirements

  1. COST
The average price of a luxury car ranges from $20,000 up to over $100,000. The cost of a 2011 Jaguar XJ is approximately $72,500 for the base model and to over $115,000 fully equipped. The average price for a 2011 Maserati Quattroporte is approximately $122,300 for the base model and up to over $150,000 fully equipped.

  2. ENGINE SIZES
Since most of our customers want the comfort of a luxury car as well as the power of a sports car, I have researched the engine sizes. The Jaguar XJ carries a 385 HP, direction injection, 5.0 L AJ-V Generation 3 naturally aspirated engine with a top speed of 260 km/h and moves 0-100 km/h in 8 seconds. The Maserati Quattroporte carries a 4.2 L engine, with 400 HP, V8 engine that goes 0-100 km/ in 5.6 seconds and has a top speed of 270 km/h.

  3. Comfort and Quality of Vehicle
While customers want speed, comfort comes hand-in-hand. The interior of the 2011 Jaguar XJ, includes the following in a variety of different colours;

    • Jet seats with jet upper fascia and canvas headlining
    • Dual zone automatic climate control
    • Entertainment system that includes, CD-ROM, digital navigation system and surround sound.
    • 19” Aleutian alloy wheels
