My neighborhood is a nice quiet area near the center of the city. Building a movie theatre in the neighborhood will not be so good for the people living here because can bring a lot of traffic, people will get annoyed by the noise of lots of people coming every day at the theatre and a I believe a building so large will not fit the surrounding.
First, a theatre will bring a lot of cars that for sure will worsen the already existent traffic. Our streets are narrow and more cars can congest the traffic for good. Moreover, for the movie theatre parking space is required. This means the parking places for people living here will be reduced and can become very annoying searching for other spots to park.
Second, the noise will get to be the cherry on the cake. A theatre fo sure means a lot of people, coming and going all day long. For instance, after a hard day of work one desires to relax and rest. Thus hearing all the noise coming from outside would not contribute so much in having a quiet and enjoyable evening at home. Cars, people, voices and their effects can turn to be unpleasant at some point.
Third, a movie theatre means a big building which can occupy a lot of free space. I believe our neighborhood needs more green places than another big building. Here are a lot of blocks, and narrow streets which gives the sensation of compressed space, agglomerated and not open. A theatre will only make it worse.
All in all, I find this idea improper for my neighborhood. I see it like a rock in my way that I have to jump over every day. It brings more disadvantages than advantage by creating unwanted situations.
