As requested, our report outlining the potential new era in modern-test taking technology for the Florida Atlantic University is enclosed.

Our team has gathered data and opinions on the current conditions of using Scantrons as the primary method of testing. Our results show that the majority of faculty and students are unsatisfied with Scantron technology because of the problems and constraints it presents. In addition, many students and faculty are open to a new form of testing which eliminates these problems.

We propose a new digital technology to replace the now obsolete Scantron as a means of modernizing the testing process. The iPad and iTest application by Apple have been developed, tested, and are currently employed as the primary testing method at a number of universities. Bringing this technology to Florida Atlantic University will open up new ways of test taking, customization, grading, and administration. Valuable efficiency will be gained, and the savings in Scantron paper and grading machines will be substantial.
