Minority Report is about an elite law enforcing squad named “pre-crime” unit. Crime was virtually eliminated from Washington D.C in 2054 thanks to them. The future is seen. Guilty is punished before the crime has ever been committed. All the crimes are seen by the “Pre-Cogs” three psychic beings. Their visions have never been wrong. Harrison Bergeron is about the year 2081 and everyone being equal because of the Amendments 211, 212, 213 to the constitution. No one is stupider, uglier, weaker, or slower than anyone else. They have something similar to the Minority Reports “pre-crime” unit. Instead it’s called the Handicapper General and a team of agents. They ensure that laws are equally enforced and that everyone is equal. Just like the “pre-crime” ensure that no one murders anybody.
The Main characters though are facing problems similar their selves. George doesn’t comprehend that he needs to wear a radio to interrupted his intelligent thoughts throughout the day. And John (Main character of Minority report) has to face the fact that he is going to kill someone because he saw himself as a suspect in the pre-cogs vision.
Minority report and Harrison Bergeron have many things in common, and many things different, both have something to do with how things might end up I the future. Even though they happened at two different times.
