Invisibility cloak
What would I do if I suddenly get an invisibility cloak?

If I get an invisible cloak, oh, a cloak which has the power to make me invisible where no one can see me!! A cloak which has unimaginable strength where no one will question me! Yes, this feeling really fascinates me.
Well, if I really get an invisibility cloak, I would like to know all the unknown mysteries of the world. This will help me solve a lot of my doubts. I would also like to be a bit naughty after wearing this special cloak. I would like to laugh by scaring people by moving their stuff around, loudly play the piano or write ‘I am watching you’ on the whiteboard. (giggle) But I would also keep in mind that I don’t hurt anyone’s feelings while doing this.
I'd also want to go behind all the doors that say 'No Entry' or 'Staff Only' just to see what's so important inside. I have always been curious to know what’s behind those doors!
I would also want to board aeroplanes and visit my favourite places in the world without even a ticket!

Invisibility is a power one should use properly. In my opinion, it should be mainly used for a good purpose……..

As the title of the novel ‘Invisible Man’ suggests, it is a take on the invisible threat that technology and science possess to mankind which human beings are still having difficulty in grasping. It deals with the threat of immense power that science bestows on us but the converse of which is that we do not know how to control it without harming anyone. In the novel, the people of Burdock were frightened by the prospect of the invisible man but more than that it was a sensational thing to occur in their sleepy village. It was almost as if they had plunged back into the dark ages of ignorance in the thirteenth century as Dr. Kemp. The people of Burdock had made the man into an occult figure, almost…

Similar to to the theme of community, another ongoing theme portrayed in The Invisible Man, is the theme of science and power. This is not a difficult theme to spot, as the entire book revolves around a science experiment and even the main character is a scientist. The author wants us to see the how knowledge gives one power. The power of knowledge takes on various roles in The Invisible Man. First we see Griffin’s “unclouded[…]magnificent vision of all that invisibility might mean to a man the mystery, the power, the freedom. Drawbacks [he] saw none”(103). Griffin is blinded by the many advantages of becoming invisible. He talks about “the mystery, the power, [and] the freedom”(103) and how they go hand in hand. This shows how having the knowledge…

It was always said that The Invisible Man is an unofficial hand book for the young African American male that has high hopes and aspirations of becoming successful in life. It wasn’t until August of 2005 while we were moving boxes from my old house into our new one when I stumbled upon an old looking book that caught my eye. Since that day, I have read the…
